During the two-week period beginning Tuesday, March 6, 2012 and ending Friday, March16, 2012,  Brookwood students enrolled in third through eighth grade will be completing theIllinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT).
 
The ISAT is a  group-administered test designed to assess the extent to which students are meeting the Illinois Learning Standards
During the two-week period beginning Tuesday, March 6, 2012 and ending Friday,  March16, 2012,  Brookwood students  enrolled in third through eighth grade will be completing the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT).
 

Students in grades three through eight will be assessed in the achievement areas of reading and mathematics.  Additionally, students in fourth and seventh grade will be assessed in the area of science.

 

Given the importance of student performance on these test, we are looking for your assistance at home.  Here are some helpful ways that you can help your child be at his/her best during testing time:

  1. Monitoring daily homework assignments.
  2. Asking how their day went and about what they are currently learning.
  3. Making sure your child gets a good night sleep on testing days.
  4. Encouraging them to do their best.
  5. Making sure they have a good breakfast!
  6. Seeing to it that they arrive to school on time.
  7. Be sure your child wears comfortable clothes to school.
  8. Avoid disagreements and arguments the night before testing and the morning of the test.
  9. Be sure to remind your child to do his/her best.
