The Hickory Bend Sensational Singers and the Longwood Singing Stars did a fabulous performance at the Glenwood Manor Nursing Home on Thursday, April 19, 2007. The two choirs danced and sang songs from a rock-n-roll musical that they will be performing for their schools in May. They also performed an acapella piece by Mozart titled, "Alleluia".
The choir continued to show its diversity by next performing an acapella three part round from the Renaissance Period. The choirs ended their performance with a ballad from the movie, Pete's Dragon titled, "Candle On the Water" and a gospel piece titled, "I Need You to Survive."
The residents seemed to really enjoy the children's performance. Congratulations to both choirs on an excellent job.
