Office of the Superintendent: District Happenings

2007-2008 Registration Information

August 20, 2007

In an effort to centralize our registration/fee payment procedures, Brookwood School District 167 will be holding registration for all four schools at Longwood School, 441 Longwood Drive, Glenwood.  This will allow you to register all of your children at one site.

The book/materials fee for the 2007-2008 school year is $60.00 per student.  A reduced fee of $50.00 per student will be allowed if full payment is received during the registration times on August 28th and 29th.   The discounted fee will only be allowed for those who register and pay in full on August 28 or 29, 2007.  The discounted fee is offered because we are better prepared to process all necessary paperwork with added personnel during official registration dates.  Our hope is to encourage on-time registration so that the whole focus of the first week of school will be on students and learning.

REGISTRATION DATES AND TIMES:

 TUESDAY, AUGUST 28, 2007          8:00 A.M. TO 2:00 P.M.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2007    2:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M.

REGISTRATION LOCATION:
LONGWOOD SCHOOL
441 LONGWOOD DRIVE
GLENWOOD, IL 60425

Registration procedures for the 2007-2008 school year are as follows:

1.  Parents of all returning children will re-establish their residency by returning the enclosed pupil personnel and emergency forms with updated corrections during registration.  If you bring the forms included with the registration letter, you will not have to provide three proofs of residency.   Without these forms, you will be required to re-establish residency.

2.  A waiver of fee form will be available if the family qualifies for free lunch (not reduced). Documentation such as food stamp verification letter, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) verification letter, or income verification letter/check stub is required for approval for the waiver.

3.  A free and reduced price meal form is included in this mailing for those families that qualify according to the Federal Income Guidelines.  Only one form should be filled out per family.  Include the names of all children who attend school in the district in grades K-8.

If you are planning to move or transfer your child(ren) from our school, please report to your child’s school to fill out the appropriate transfer form.

It is our hope that our registration process will be efficient for all involved.  We look forward to seeing you during registration.

Sincerely,

Pamela K. Hollich, Ed.D.

Superintendent
