WELCOME TO MRS. STAFFEL'S WEBPAGE!
7th-Grade Social Studies
Contact Information: Email: mstaffel@brookwood167.org
I am also available during my planning period (1:32-2:10) and after school.
Homework Policies: It is important for students to keep up on the homework. Assignments are due at the beginning of the class period. Assignments turned in late will have 10 points deducted. Late assignments will only be accepted during the week the assignments were given. For example, an assignment given on Tuesday will only be accepted if turned in by the end of that week.
Progress Reports: Students receive a social studies progress report at the beginning of each week (with the exception of the last week of the quarter) along with all homework and other assignments from the prior week. Students should verify that all their assignments are correctly reflected in their progress report and provide ample time to improve their grade. Because assignments are returned to students at the beginning of each week, missing assignments will not be accepted once I have returned them back to students.
Conduct Points: Student conduct directly affects academic success in my classroom. Therefore, 10% of your grade will be based on your conduct grade and weekly DOG (Daily Oral Geography).
Each day, students will receive 5 conduct points for following the 5 classroom rules listed below. Failure to comply with the rules will result in a deduction of conduct point for each rule that is not followed. The weekly points will be added up and averaged to determine conduct grade.
CLASSROOM RULES
- Come to class prepared.
- Follow directions the first time they are given.
- Respect others and the classroom.
