We are in the middle of a busy and productive year, filled with
exciting learning activities, social events, and so much more. This
is a very important year for your fourth grade student. At this
time, we have just finished testing for ISAT. In fourth grade,
students were tested in reading, math, and science. The ISAT test
this year was from March 12-23, 2007.
Newsletters
Throughout the year, I have been keeping you informed of
everything that is going on—my classroom plans, your child’s
progress, and all of the activities that will help make this a
successful and memorable year. Please check your child's FISH
folder on the last day of every week for a newsletter. My
newsletters contain valuable information about our classroom,
including dates to remember, upcoming tests or projects, papers to
look for coming home, or any other events happening in our
classroom. This is my way of keeping you at home informed and
connected with your child’s classroom. If you ever have any
questions or find something that would be valuable to include in a
newsletter, please let me know.
Rules
In order to provide my students with the excellent educational
climate they deserve, I have developed the following Classroom
Discipline Plan that will be in effect at all times.
Rules: 1. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. 2. Turn in all
assignments neatly and on time. 3. Raise your hand before speaking.
4. Do not leave your seat/room without permission.
The most important rule is for my students to show respect towards
themselves and others. This rule especially will allow for a
positive and successful learning environment.
Consequences
If a student chooses to break a rule, the following consequences
will be imposed: 1st time: Verbal Warning 2nd time: No “smiley
face” for the day 3rd time: Phone call home and lunch bunch In
severe cases, the student will be sent to the principal’s office.
This includes any physical contact or verbal threats.
