On October 14, 2009, Ms. Walsh took her 7th grade D.E.C. (Digital Exploration Center) classes on a field trip to the Apple Store in Orland Square Mall. The students had been creating travel websites on countries of their choice using Google Sites in class. Therefore, the students created travel videos when they visited the Apple Store using iMovie. The employees at the Apple Store taught the students how to import photos, add transitions, titles and sound effects. The students were split up into groups of four and created their videos using the computers in the store. In about an hour and a half, the students left the store with a DVD of their completed video. They had a great time and it was a great experience for the students.
