Dear Parents and/or Guardians:
Brookwood Middle School Administration and Staff is excited to announce our upcoming, 21st Annual Career Day! The event will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 and we need your help. We are looking for community members, parents, and family members to talk to students about education requirements, special training, employment, and other experiences relative to their careers. Our goal is to expose BMS students’ to a variety of career options while demonstrating how workers use the subjects they learn in school on their jobs. With your partnership we are committed to meet our goal!
Would you be willing to come to our classrooms and share information about your occupation? Presenters will speak with students for three sessions, each expected to last approximately 25-minutes each. Session 1 will be held one after the other, beginning at 9:50 A.M. and ending around 11:15 A.M. Session 2 will also be held one after the other, beginning at 12:30 P.M. and ending around 1:55 P.M. We ask that you plan to arrive by 9:15 A.M. You may bring visuals, tools, and other items you use in your job every day. We will provide a list of suggestions to help you plan your presentation. A classroom teacher will remain in the classroom as well.
