It’s that time of year again, the dreaded Flu Season.  Parents remember if your child is sick, Please, Please keep them home.  Let’s follow the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Just as you do not want any sick children coming to school exposing your child to contagious germs, do not allow your child to be the offender.

If your child is experiencing a fever, chills, headache, coughing, sore throat, weakness, loss of appetite, fussiness and muscle aches, he or she may have the flu. If your child has a fever, do not send them to school for at least 24 hours after he or she is fever free without medication.

Reinforce to your child the importance of good hygiene during this season (covering mouth when sneezing or coughing, proper disposal of nasal secretions, and frequent hand washing).

Let’s all work together to keep the spreading of germs to a minimum this season and have one of the healthiest school environments for our children.
