What the Results Mean
The survey shows how teachers and students perceive their school, and these perceptions influence their behavior. The survey results are organized using a research validated framework (the Five Essentials), and are meant to highlight areas of strength and areas that need support. They can be used by leaders as a baseline to assess school improvement.
School leaders might disagree with their school’s results, but having an understanding of these perceptions helps school leaders predict how students and teachers are going to work together, and whether the school will continue to improve. In aggregate, the reports reflect the perspective of teachers and students in grades 4-12 (depending on the partner). We think of these measures as leading indicators of school success.
Meetings of the Board of Education are generally scheduled on the second Monday of most months.
Meetings convene @ 7:00 p.m. and are held at the Administrative Center/District Office.
Closed sessions begin @ 6:00 p.m.
The following regular meeting dates have been scheduled through June 2026.
Dear Brookwood School District 167 Staff, Parents and Community:
The National Weather Service has predicted/reported dangerous weather conditions for Monday, January 26, 2026.
Out of an abundance of caution and as a proactive measure, our District will implement an e-Learning day for Monday, January 26, 2026.
This includes the cancellation of all before and after school care programs, extracurricular activities and sporting events.
Many factors are carefully considered when deciding to close our schools.
This includes the safety and well-being of our students and staff, the severity of the weather, the timing of the weather-related events, and the walking and driving conditions for our students, staff, and bus drivers.
By using e-Learning days, we will not have to make up the days at the end of the school year.
Teachers will provide instruction remotely using Google Classroom and Google Meet and will be accessible for virtual office hours during their plan period for the day.
All students are expected to access their classroom remotely at 8:30 a.m.
If a parent is experiencing technical difficulty, they will email their child’s teacher or the Tech Help Desk:
helpdesk@brookwood167.org or call#708-300-3553.
We are looking to come back to in-person learning, Tuesday, January 27th.
Stay Safe!
Sincerely,
Bethany A. Lindsay, Superintendent
